Allison was born and raised in Texas. After receiving her master’s degree in occupational therapy at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas she moved to New Haven, Connecticut with her husband where she lived until she moved to Portland, Oregon. She initially discovered her passion for hand therapy while working at a prosthetics clinic during her undergraduate degree and seeing the importance of the upper extremity in our daily lives.
